Gables UCC and its Board of Justice and Witness invite you to attend a free panel presentation and discussion on the unaccompanied minors crisis at the U.S. border. The panel of experts and community activists will discuss the root causes of this mass exodus, the current legal framework and protection available under U.S. law, and how citizens can get involved.

Featured panelists include:

– Ira Kurzban: Civil rights and immigration lawyer and author of the leading immigration text, Kurzban’s Immigration Law Sourcebook.

– Randy McGrorty: Executive Director of Catholic Legal Services of the Archdiocese of Miami and frequent speaker on asylum issues and immigration law.

– Frank Mora, Ph.D.: Director of the Latin American and Caribbean Center and Professor in the School of Public and International Affairs at Florida International University.

– Juan Ramos: Former unaccompanied minor; and Southeast Chair of the National Coordinating Committee, United We Dream.
